Lord of the Rings Trilogy Coming to Blu-ray in April

Peter Jackson’s acclaimed Lord of the Rings trilogy finally has a release date on Blu-ray; all three LOTR movies will go on sale April 6.

VideoBusiness.com has leaked that the nine-disc set of the Tolkien adaptations, set to retail for $99.98, will contain original theatrical versions of the three films along with more than seven hours of special features. The supplements will mostly include special features that were previously released on the DVD versions of the movies, including featurettes that were originally on LordOfTheRings.net. The Blu-ray versions will also offer high-def trailers.
