Mike Judge The Goode Family endured a rocky first season with ABC, thanks at least in part to the show’s controversial premise, which chronicles the life of a hyper-liberal family that failed to resonate with television viewers.
Judge’s idea to turn his Hill family on its head might not have panned out according to plan, but fans of the show can follow it to its new home on Comedy Central beginning Jan. 4. According to the channel, the move will give “vegans, lesbians, right-wing conservatives, Prius owners, Texas-rednecks and liberals-who-can-laugh-at-themselves a second chance to fall in love with the Goodes.”
Comedy Central will air the first season of The Goode Family, Mondays at 10:00 p.m. At this point, the prospect of new episodes hinges on the network’s re-airing ratings.
