Samantha Crain Returns to Studio for Sophomore Album
Oklahoman songstress Samantha Crain is heading back to the studio with her Midnight Shivers to belt out some more tracks for the followup to her first LP, Songs in the Night. This debut proved to be an imaginative yet down-home folky album that won over a fair number of critics. (We sure liked it.)
Her sophomore record will be produced by Joey Lemon and is due out in the Spring on Ramseur Records. Crain will be busy touring in 2010, first opening for the Avett Brothers at the Granada Theatre in Dallas, Texas on Jan. 3 and then embarking on the Cayamo Cruise from Feb. 21-26, where she’ll perform alongside the likes of Lyle Lovett, Emmylou Harris, John Hiatt and Steve Earle.
