Those Grizzly Bear dudes sure are making a name for themselves in Hollywood. According to TwentyFourBit, the Brooklyn indie rockers wrote the score to two films premiering at this year’s Sundance festival: the previously-reported Blue Valentine, starring Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams, and Philip Seymour Hoffman’s directorial debut, Jack Goes Boating.
Evan Lurie of the Lounge Lizards shared the bill with the Bear to pen Jack’s score. A review of the film in The Hollywood Reporter says, “The impressionistic mood of the film is greatly enhanced by a gentle, piano-centric score by Even Lurie coupled with the feathery, cerebral harmonies of the Brooklyn band Grizzly Bear.”
Sounds about like what we’ve come to expect from the makers of our #11 album of 2009.

Grizzly Bear: Veckatimest
Jack Goes Boating also prominently features Fleet Foxes. It's a little heavy handed but pretty darn effective.
