New York’s City Winery will host a four-night Emergency Benefit Concert for Haiti with the hopes of raising $100,000 to help the victims of last week’s earthquake. The concert series starts tomorrow (Wed., Jan. 20) and runs through Mon., Jan 25, with performances from Patti Smith, The Swell Season, Yo La Tengo, Rosanne Cash, Young People’s Choir of New York City, comedian Lewis Black and many more.
All of the proceeds will go to Doctors Without Borders, Partners in Health and the Jewish Renaissance Medical Center’s emergency mobile hospital aid mission. All of these organizations are providing much needed medical care to injured Haitians.
The tickets for City Winery’s benefit concert are sold out, but there are many other ways to donate if you’re looking to lend a hand.
