The Antlers Tour With Editors

Breaking out of a dank garage to the bright lights of the stage is a classic rock ‘n’ roll transition. But starting out alone in the isolation of a bedroom—now that’s a big step. Such was the journey in 2008 for The Antlers, a band of one-turned-to-three from Brooklyn that play diary-entry epics awash in shadows, fear, hope and a whole lot of reverb. Breakthrough record Hospice has pushed the band into the indie rivercurrent, where they’ve stayed afloat with one of the most critically acclaimed albums of last year.

On Dec. 15, The Antlers played a sold-out show at New York’s Bowery Ballroom, surely a milestone for any New York band trekking up fame mountain. After a month off, the band’ll hit the road with Editors for a tour through these United States. Hospice may sound best in a tiny, intimate setting, but with The Antlers turning heads nationwide, your chance to say “I saw them before they blew up” may be running out. Get on it:
