In 1987, Michael Douglas won an Oscar for his turn as Gordon Gekko in Wall Street, and in 2010, Douglas will reprise the role on the silver screen. The sequel, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, picks up where its ‘87 predecessor left off. Gekko gets out of jail, meets his estranged daughter’s fiancé, a young trader named Jacob (played by Shia LaBeouf), and tries to help the latter amidst the current economic crisis.

Oliver Stone, director of the original movie, will helm the sequel as well. Why they gave the sequel to an award-winning film a ridiculous subtitle and trailer that bring to mind The Fast and the Furious is beyond us, but hey, you can watch that trailer below.
