Zach Galifianakis Collaborating With Paul Rudd and Demetri Martin to Play Scruffiest Cherub Ever

Follwing his breakout role in The Hangover, Zach Galifianakis’ next character will take him to an even higher level—heaven. (Rim shot!) According to The Hollywood Reporter, he will star in Will, an upcoming Will Ferrell-produced comedy about a world where every human’s destiny is written by an angel. Paul Rudd plays an average guy whose fate is prescribed by Galifianakis. The problem is, Rudd’s destiny-weaver is lazy and decides to quit, leaving Rudd’s character with the perplexing reality of free will.

Behind the camera, the movie’s team includes directors Valerie Farist and Jonathan Dayton (whose last project was the hilarious Little Miss Sunshine). The movie was written by also-hilarious comedian Demetri Martin.

Rudd and Galifianakis are also starring together in Dinner for Schmucks, the upcoming remake of the French comedy Le Dîner de Cons.
