CBS Orders New Pilots From Producers of The Sopranos and ER

Does the world really need another medical or legal drama? CBS seems to think so; according to The Hollywood Reporter, the network has ordered a pilot for a new series of each.

Despite the perhaps-played-out subject matter, the brains behind the shows are worth noting. The producers of the forthcoming Reagan’s Law are Mitchell Burgess and Robin Green, of Sopranos fame, and the as-yet-unnamed medical show boasts John Wells, former executive producer of ER. As far as storylines go, Reagan’s Law will examine the lives of a New York family of police officers while Wells’ show will chronicle a roaming medical team as they journey nationwide to tend to people in need.
