Comedian Eugene Mirman to Host SXSW 2010 Film Awards

This year’s SXSW festival just got a little funnier. Paste’s eighth favorite comedian of the last decade and all-around hilarious dude, Eugene Mirman, is slated to host the 2010 SXSW Film Awards in Austin, Texas on March 16.

The comedian, who touts himself as “the world’s foremost Eugene-named entertainer,” made a video with some tips to aid in keeping Austin weird, which you can watch below. Mirman’s full of useful tips—not only for Austin, but for the population at large. On the first day of the new year, he gave Paste readers a 2010 survival guide including such invaluable advice as “Wear nice shoes and be sure to have a fanny pack full of airplane-size whiskey bottles in case there’s an impromptu signing of a business deal.” See? The man is a sage!
