Lost's Daniel Dae Kim to Star in CBS Hawaii Five-O Remake

Now that Lost has begun its sure-to-be-suspenseful sixth and final season, the show’s cast will be moving on to other ventures. For Daniel Dae Kim (who plays Jin in the ABC hit series), the next step looks to be a spot on the CBS remake of the Hawaii Five-O series.

Kim’s new character will be Detective Chin Ho Kelly, a role played by actor Kam Fong in the original series, which ran from 1968-1980. The fact that the show is set in Hawaii means Kim will get to stay put (since Lost films there as well). What a tough life that guy has.

In addition to Kim, Alex O’Loughlin (Moonlight, Three Rivers) is rumored to play Detective Steve McGarrett. Fringe co-creators Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci and CSI: NY show runner Peter Lenkov are behind the series’ rebirth.
