Gogol Bordello Announces Rick Rubin-Produced Album, Spring Tour

February 5, 2010  |  2:30pm

New York gypsy punk outfit Gogol Bordello is gearing up for a spring tour that will be an “international mini festival.” The eclectic band will take its “Casa Gogol” roadshow—including “Slavic-punk-band DeVotchKa, East Village punk troubadour Jesse Malin and St. Mark’s Social, electro-anarchists Tres Leches Afterparty Sound Crew and special surprise guest appearances”—to Australia, North America and Europe in support of the band’s upcoming album, Transcontinental Hustle.

The nine-piece Gogol Bordello blends elements of gypsy music, punk, ska, dub and international sounds to create their music. Produced by the bearded studio sage himself, Rick Rubin, Transcontinental Hustle will be the band’s fifth studio release.
