Iggy Pop, Patti Smith, Philip Glass, More to Perform at Tibet Benefit
This year, the 20th annual Tibet House benefit will be held on Feb. 26 at Carnegie Hall in New York. The event features a concert with performers such as Gogol Bordello, Patti Smith, Iggy Pop and Regina Spektor. Founded in 1987, Tibet House is a non-profit that supports the preservation and presentation of Tibetan culture.
A concert and fundraiser is held each year around the Tibetan New Year to commemorate the Monlam Prayer Festival. Tickets to the concert are available at the Carnegie Hall box office. There will also be a fundraising reception after the show attended by all the evening’s musicians and Honorary Chairpersons Maggie Gyllenhaal & Peter Sarsgaard. Tickets for the reception are available through Tibet House.
