Kings of Convenience Postpone Tour

Fans will have to hold on just a bit longer to see Norwegian indie pop duo Kings of Convenience embark on their North American tour. Their first tour in five years was slated to kick off last Friday (Feb. 12), but has been pushed back to June.

The reason for the rescheduling? According to a post on the band’s MySpace, Eirik Glambek Bøe has the dreaded “flu-virus.” Those who already bought tickets can redeem those at the June shows, and the band is offering a small consolation to fans as well. According to the band’s website, ticket-holders can download a the track “Love Is No Big Truth,” which won’t be widely available until Feb. 23.

Rescheduled dates:

June
1 – Philadelphia, Pa. @ Theatre of Living Arts
2 – Boston, Mass. @ Paradise Rock Club
4 – Brooklyn, N.Y. @ Warsaw
5 – New York, N.Y. @ Webster Hall
6 – Washington D.C. @ 9.30 Club
8 – Toronto, Ontario, Canada @ Phoenix Concert Theatre
9 – Pontiac, Mich. @ Crofoot Ballroom
10 – Chicago, Ill. @ Metro
