Of Montreal Tour Documentary Premiering Next Month

Of Montreal is a band well-known for its elaborate stage antics, so it’s about time the Athens, Ga., group got its own tour diary. Of Montreal: Family Nouveau follows the band’s winter 2009 European tour.

The 45-minute tour doc from Spenser Simrill Jr. is set to premiere at the Chicago International Movies and Music Festival on March 5, and according to Of Montreal’s website, will “be shown at [a] few other film festivals in the coming months.”

In other OM news, the band is currently working on a new album, which will reportedly feature Solange Knowles and Janelle Monáe.
