Kanye West, Barbra Streisand, Brian Wilson, Tons More Contribute to "We are the World" Remake for Haiti
Monday night (Feb. 1) in L.A., musicians and actors came together to re-record the 1985 charity single “We are the World.” The original song, co-written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie, pulled in millions to benefit USA for Africa, and the new version will raise funds for the Haiti earthquake relief effort.
There were reportedly over 80 people contributing to the massive recording session. Voices on the the 2010 “We are the World” include Lil Wayne, Kanye West, Jeff Bridges, Vince Vaughn, Barbra Streisand, Kid Cudi, Zac Brown, Brian Wilson and Al Jardine of the Beach Boys, Gladys Knight and Wyclef Jean.
