It’s been nearly a decade since the original, and a sequel’s been slow to get off the ground, but it’s not time to eugooglize Derek Zoolander and his gang of dopey male models yet. Ben Stiller has teamed up with Tropic Thunder writer Justin Theroux to pen a sequel to the 2001 original, Deadline Hollywood reports.
The question on everyone’s mind now is whether Owen Wilson will return as Hansel, and while he’s in talks for the role, no deal has been struck yet. He’s currently filming Hall Pass with Jenna Fischer in Atlanta. It looks like Jonah Hill will star as the film’s villain. Theroux, who will also direct the project, is headed to Fashion Week in Paris “to immerse himself in what is current in fashion,” so if you’re keeping up with the trends now, beware. Derek Zoolander may be wearing those gaucho pants soon, flashing Blue Steel at you from the silver screen once again.
