Avatar to be Re-Released This Summer?

Just when we thought Avatar reign at the box office might finally be ending, it looks like the Oscar-nominated picture may be holding on to some of those silver screens. According to The Hollywood Reporter, James Cameron and Fox are in talks to bring Avatar back to the box office this summer, mostly in 3-D theaters. The re-release will feature previously unreleased scenes, that will bring the movie’s run time to a whopping 170 minutes (the limit for an IMAX movie).

According to THR, two scenes that may be added include one where Jake Sully’s avatar proves himself to the Na’vi people and another involves a native festival. If the re-release happens, it will no doubt bring in millions more at the box office, but what can Cameron really do with all that money? We’ve got a few suggestions.
