Back in 1999, Glasgow-based Belle & Sebastian hosted the Bowlie Weekender festival, paving the way for All Tomorrow’s Parties. And that relationship is about to come full circle. According to The Guardian, the Glasgow-based band will curate ATP’s Bowlie 2 Festival later this year.
Bowlie 2 will take place December 10-12 at Butlins Holiday Centre in Minehead, UK. This festival is just one in a series celebrating ATP’s 10th anniversary; other 2010 ATP festivals boast curators Jim Jarmusch (Sept. 3-5 in Monticello, N.Y.) and Matt Groening (May 7-9 in Minehead, UK).
Belle & Sebastian will curate all three days, and though the band hasn’t announced a lineup, B&S will headline one night. On the band’s official website B&S says, “We are in the process of piecing together the line up and are already really excited by the way it is shaping up.” The first lineup announcement is planned for next week.
B&S have added a couple more festival dates to the list we brought you earlier this month. Those dates are below. Look alive, South Korea!
July
17 – Southwold, UK @ Latitude Festival
30 – Seoul, South Korea @ Jisan Valley Rock Festival
