Best Worst Movie Documentary Gets Theatrical Release

Last year, we told you about Michael Paul Stephenson’s documentary Best Worst Movie about his experience as a child actor in Troll 2, the notoriously horrible B-movie with a cult following.

The documentary, which premiered at SXSW, will be shown in movie theaters this spring in Austin, Texas, New York, Los Angeles and other markets this spring. Paste caught up with the director at the festival last year for an interview. In addition to Stephenson’s own experience with Troll 2, it also details Dr. George Hardy’s ordeal with the film. Italian director Claudio Fragrasso cast the unknown Alabama dentist as the star of the movie.
