A symposium for musicians, artists and environmentalists, this year’s Forecastle Festival is being held at a new location, Louisville, Ky.’s Waterfront Park, where concert goers can enjoy music from bands like Spoon, The Flaming Lips, Drive-By Truckers and Ted Leo & the Pharmacists in a scenic riverside location. Held July 9-11, the fest features over 75 bands on four stages, in addition to art, an extreme sports park and tons of booths and information about living a sustainable, green lifestyle. Tickets are $150 for a three-day pass and $60 for one day. They are available at Ticketmaster and at some record stores near Louisville, including ear-X-tacy, Shake-It Records, CD Central, Indy CD and Vinyl, and Grimey’s. Thanks. I understand humor. Atlanta is the 9th largetest metorpolitan area in the country and we haven't had a MAJOR festival since those idiots bumbled Music Midtown and picked a lousey date and location for Ecofest.
