After the news that Björk and Michel Gondry were teaming up again, we made some predictions as to what their new, “very undefined” project might be. Turns out, we were pretty wrong.
In a recent interview with The Playlist, the French director Gondry shed a bit more light on the situation: “We have a very ambitious project, a sort of scientific musical” he said. ”[It’s a movie], but maybe more for museums. Like a 40 minute IMAX project in 3D.”
So, an eccentric musician and a noted director are working on a film that will potentially screen in natural history museums’ IMAX theaters? Well, that’s almost as odd as some of our original predictions, which included a Flight of the Conchords-esque series starring Björk entitled Float of the Puffins, and a commercial to promote Icelandic tourism. What? We said “almost.”
