The laws of musical expectations state that when you get two powerhouses like Jay-Z and Jack White together, the result should be nothing short of mindblowing. Recently, we found out about the dream team when White told UK GQ that the pair had worked together. “We did a song together a few weeks ago. It was incredible,” White said. “I played him something that I’ve been kicking around for a while and he immediately came out with words for it. It’s unbelievable-sounding.”
It’s more than a little impressive that the two found time to work together, given their respective schedules. White’s latest band, The Dead Weather, will release their second album, Sea of Cowards, “soon” according to TheDeadWeather.com. He’s also been heading up Third Man Records, his Nashville-based recording studio and label. Jay, meanwhile, has been touring in support of The Blueprint 3".
Both White and Jay-Z are scheduled to perform at Coachella, so cross those fingers (and toes, maybe?) that the collaborative track will debut at the festival.
