Soundset 2010 Lineup Announced, Atmosphere to Headline

Two stages. Forty artists. Nine hours of the hottest independent hip-hop. Another bullet point intoned with the weight and gravity of a Bruckheimer flick’s trailer. Can you think of a better way to kick off summer 2010? Probably not, which is why you should make a point to check out the just-announced third annual Soundset festival on May 30.

Yes, for the third year running, Rhymesayers will be presenting the Soundset festival at Canterbury Park in Shakopee, Minn. This year’s festival billing borders on massive, with a roster of confirmed rappers including headliner Atmosphere, Method Man & Redman, Brother Ali, Hieroglyphics feat. Del tha Funkee Homosapien, P.O.S, Murs, Freeway & Jake One and a whole host of others.

Also on tap are an expanded B-Boy/B-Girl DJ tent, live painting, skate demo space, “Slow and Low” custom car exhibit and a “Last of the Record Buyers” showcase. Tickets go on sale this Friday, April 2, at 11:00 a.m. CST via Ticketmaster and Fifth Element.
