It seems there’s at least one thing Tony Stark can’t take on in that iron suit: the cloud of volcanic ash that has grounded thousands of flights in England and that kept many a band away from Coachella engagements this past weekend.
Robert Downey Jr.’s second outing as the millionaire superhero was set to debut in London next Monday, but the continued trouble with travel around England’s capital has caused the event to be moved to Los Angeles, The Guardian reports.
Although the premiere has been relocated, English audiences will still be able to catch the film on its April 28 release date. “Luckily, we had the copies delivered a week ago, just before the volcano erupted,” an employee of the German distributor Concorde said.
That’s good news, but with thousands of travelers still in limbo and the Cannes film festival approaching quickly, the trouble with Iron Man likely won’t be the last bit of havoc the dust cloud will cause.
