It would be an understatement to say the Cannes Film Festival is regarded as one of the film industry’s most important events. And this year’s festival reinforces those words: The just-announced official selections include Film Socialisme from one of Paste’s best living directors, Jean-Luc Godard, Biutiful from Alejandro González Iñárritu, Blue Valentine from Derek Cianfrance and Another Year by Mike Leigh.
Ridley Scott’s Robin Hood will be kicking things off, and
Tim Burton will serve as jury president for the festival, which runs May 12-23.
You can see the full list of films and on the Cannes 2010 website.
