Carla Bruni-Sarkozy first became well-known a singer-songwriter, then as the first lady of France. And now she’s adding actress to her already-thick resume. According to the Telegraph, Bruni-Sarkozy has been cast in an upcoming Woody Allen film.
Allen’s forthcoming project is unique not only because of first lady-having cast, but also because the director has already named the project—something Allen usually refrains from doing until a movie is finished. But, according to Vulture, Allen has named the film Midnight in Paris.
Bruni-Sarkozy will not take the leading lady role in Midnight in Paris, which begins filming this summer. Her part in the film is still undefined, but may be as small as a cameo performance.
The cast also includes Academy Award winner Marion Cotillard, who will star alongside Owen Wilson and Rachel McAdams.
