Family Guy Creator Seth MacFarlane Directing Live-Action Film

Seth MacFarlane, the (evil or comedic, depending who you ask) genius who brought us Family Guy, is about to make his directorial debut with a live-action movie. According to MTV.com, MacFarlane has signed on to helm Ted, an R-rated comedy about a man and his teddy bear.

MacFarlane will also take on writer duty, infusing his oftentimes-polarizing brand of humor with the help of co-writers and fellow Family Guy writers Alec Sulkin and Wellesly Wild.

There’s been talk of a Family Guy film, but as for now it looks like MacFarlane’s cinematic aspirations hinge on a dude and his stuffed animal.
