Franz Nicolay, former keyboardist for The Hold Steady, is hitting the road solo starting this April. He’ll be playing several dates along the West Coast, and he’ll also join Against Me! as part of their touring band. This summer, he’s also set to start recording his second full-length record, the follow-up to 2009’s Major General. Last year, Nicolay also released an EP, St. Sebastian of the Short Stage, and a collection of short stories titled Complicated Gardening Techniques. Two demos from his upcoming album are available on MySpace now. Check out the list of tour dates below.
