You might say that we here at Paste HQ are obsessed with Kate Nash’s new record, My Best Friend Is You. But the album has inspired more than just listeners. Making the LP with producer Bernard Butler inspired the 22-year-old songstress to expand her repertoire to producing, according to an interview with the Daily Star.
“As an artist you have to push yourself. I think it’s good to keep doing new things," she said. “I never want to recreate anything I’ve done before. That’s just pointless in my book. I want to do a course and learn to produce and engineer records properly, maybe for other bands. I’ve always been interested but Bernard has inspired me to take it further."
