April 7, 2010  |  9:25am

You may remember The Henry Clay People—the quintent of founding brothers Joey and Andy Siara and three friends—as one of Paste’s Best of What’s Next picks for 2009. The decidedly un-L.A., L.A.-based group has a new album coming out in June and they’ll be joining forces with Drive By Truckers for a May tour.

The Henry Clay People’s new 11-track LP, Somewhere on the Golden Coast, due out June 22, will be their debut recording with their new label, TBD. This is the band’s third album, following 2006’s Blacklist the Kid With the Red Moustache and 2008’s For Cheap or For Free. But before their album comes out, the band will be briefly touring with Drive By Truckers to spread the word about their new set of tunes.
