On Friday, we got to hear new M.I.A. song “Born Free,” and now that song has a video. “Born Free” is from M.I.A.‘s weird, punk, Motown album, due for release June 28. The nine-minute video, directed by Romain Gavras features violence so intense (especially at the end), YouTube removed it from the company’s U.S. site. It also contains some nudity. All of which is to say it’s absolutely not safe for work, so if you watch this and your boss gets pissed, don’t say we didn’t warn you. Check it out below, or on M.I.A.’s site.

I love MIA, especially when she is really provocative like this. Sure to stir up controversy, this video is well-made and really fits MIA's song well. Two thumbs up.
