2010 Webby Award Winners Include Roger Ebert, Brad Pitt
The 14th annual Webby Awards were announced today, recognizing both people and organizations who can claim internet achievement.
Along with the likes of Twitter and FactCheck.org, some Paste favorites were recognized with a Webby this year, most notably 2010’s Person of the Year, Roger Ebert, who continued to lend his voice to film criticism online after losing his lower jaw to cancer. OK Go took home a Webby for their viral music videos, Amy Poehler for her online series Smart Girls at the Party, and Brad Pitt was awarded for his Make It Right Foundation, which seeks to restore a post-Katrina New Orleans. Other notable winners include Jim Carrey, for his official website, and Stephen Colbert for his online community, “Colbert Nation.”
