Brandon Flowers Recruits Jenny Lewis for Solo Debut, Flamingo
Newly-solo Killers frontman Brandon Flowers wasted little time after the band’s hiatus announcement and is already working on his debut solo album, Flamingo.
Although he hasn’t announced a release date for the new record, Flowers recently revealed that Jenny Lewis is lending her talents to the project. The rocker said that Lewis worked on a couple of songs, including the duet “Hard Enough.”
Flowers hometown connection with Lewis inspired the collaboration: “She’s always popped into my mind whenever I think about getting a female vocalist involved because she’s a fellow child of Las Vegas, too,” he said in an interview with NME.
Daniel Lanois, Stuart Price (who worked on The Killers’ Day & Age) and Brendan O’Brien have all produced some of Flamingo’s tracks.
