Halo: Reach Beta Goes Live Online Today

Halo: Reach Beta Goes Live Online Today

Today marks a new chapter in the wildly popular Halo game series, as creator Bungie prepares to launch the beta version of the multiplayer Halo: Reach for a 17-day trial period.

Not everyone will have access to the newest offering in the game series. According to Bungie, players will need a copy of Halo 3: ODST, a valid Xbox LIVE gold subscription, a broadband internet connection and approximately 1.2 gigabytes of hard drive disk space. Those who meet the requirements will be treated to the new multiplayer mode and customizable armor, among other things. The beta is set to go live in the early afternoon today.
