It’s been three years since Jens Lekman released Night Falls Over Kortedala (one of Paste‘s favorite albums of 2007), but the Swedish troubadour is still going strong. Last year, he furnished some tunes for Drew Barrymore’s directorial debut, Whip It, and helped Chicago ring in 2010 with sold-out shows at the Empty Bottle.
Lekman’s been laying pretty low since the New Year’s bash, but that’ll change come August when he launches a month-long tour of Europe “with a full, formidable band.” The songsmith will begin the nine-city jaunt with a show in Dublin Aug. 1 and end with a gig at Sweden’s Way Out West festival.
