In commemoration of the 40th anniversary of Jimi Hendrix’s death this fall, there will be an exhibit in the UK celebrating the musician’s life and work. Hendrix in Britain will run from Aug. 25-Nov. 7, and as part of that exhibit, Hendrix’s London apartment will be open to public viewing between Sept. 15-26.
The apartment was once occupied by composer George Handel in the mid-18th century, which inspired Hendrix to take interest in Handel’s music according to Handel House Museum director Sarah Bardwell.
