Sarah Silverman Program Canceled

Sarah Silverman Program Canceled

Paste named Sarah Silverman one of the best comedians of the last decade, but the execs at Comedy Central, where the comedienne’s show aired, aren’t laughing. After three seasons, the show that won Silverman an Emmy last year has been canceled, according to Deadline Hollywood.

Trouble with the network started after the program’s second season, when Comedy Central execs asked Silverman to cut the show’s budget by 20 percent. The show was then moved from a prime 10:30 p.m. time slot to midnight. Silverman still has plenty on her plate without the TV show. She’s promoting her new book The Bedwetter and will start filming Take This Waltz, a new Sarah Polley movie, soon.
