School of Seven Bells Announce New Album

School of Seven Bells, whose debut album we here at Paste described as “brimming with new age mystique and pacifying sonic drones,” have some new tunes coming out on July 13. Disconnect from Desire, the trio’s sophomore offering, will be released under Vagrant/Ghostly International.

Lone dude in the group, Benjamin Curtis, produced the album, which was recorded in the band’s home studio. “From the start, we knew we wanted to make a record that connected on more of a direct and personal level than we ever had before,” Curtis said in a statement. “It’s a complete account of our lives this past year, and it’s crazy how taking an honest look at yourself can tell you the most about the world around you.”

School of Seven Bells is made up of Curtis and identical twin sisters Alejandra and Claudia Deheza. They have two New York shows planned in June at the Mercury Lounge to promote their latest release, and plan to schedule more tour dates soon.
