Emmys Decide to Keep Theme Song Category, We Revisit Our 40 Favorite TV Theme Songs

This week, the Emmys’ branch members voted and defeated a proposition to replace the Emmy category for best theme music with a category to honor documentaries, according to Variety. Honestly, more than a couple folks around Paste HQ didn’t know the best theme music category existed, but we’re glad it’s sticking around, if only because great theme songs deserve to be recognized. We made a list of our favorites a while back, and 40 TV theme songs ended up making the cut. Have a look and argue it out in the comments.
