A new Marilyn Monroe movie financed by FilmEngine may reveal what really happened in the star’s final hours. According to Variety, the production company scored more financing to make the film a reality. The company has the rights to the life story of Lionel Grandison, the deputy coroner who performed Monroe’s autopsy. Grandison, who is still living, has said he was forced to rule the movie star’s death a suicide instead of a homicide after receiving death threats.
The script will be written by John Ryan, Jr., a partner in the FilmEngine company, and will mark the first time Grandison’s part of the Marilyn Monroe story has been brought to the big screen. The coroner claims he also read Monroe’s diary when it was given to him so he could identify and find Monroe’s next-of-kin.
The company’s credits include a big screen adaptation of Hunter S. Thompson’s The Rum Diary, The Butterfly Effect and Lucky Number Slevin. “The main thing about FilmEngine is that we are artist-friendly. We also deliver,” Ryan’s partner in the company Anthony Rhulen said. “We want to tell unique stories.”

Good grief!! let the poor woman rest in peace....the world does not need another tacky film about her life/death, with someone trying to 'portray' this lady!! No one can come close to capturing how she really looked/acted, so why bother? there is plenty of info out there on how she died; personally I think it was murder; so let's let it rest at that.......If this or any other film/tv movie is made, I personally will refuse to see it!!! Enough is enough!! Let's enjoy her films and photos and let it go at that!!!
