826NYC Fundraiser Brings Together Artists, Authors

826NYC, a nonprofit center that allows New York students to improve their writing skills, is known for having some pretty cool fundraisers. This summer’s Show Off Your Sugar: One Band + One Author event series is no exception. Each Show Off Your Sugar event will feature an acoustic set from a musical artist or group and a reading from an author.

So far, two events have been confirmed for the series. The first, set for June 25, will feature Sondre Lerche, This American Life’s Shalom Auslander and a special opening set from Oberhofer. On August 11, Here We Go Magic will team up with the prolific journalist and author Chuck Klosterman. Both events will take place at CoCo66 in New York.
