The Black Crowes Announce Farewell Album, Tour

This year marks the 20th anniversary of The Black Crowes. They’ve also announced it will be their last year on the scene before they go on hiatus.

“Thank you for your time, your imaginations, your heartaches and joy. Thank you for 20 years of cosmic rock n roll,” band member Chris Robinson said in a statement.

But fret not. The Crowes aren’t leaving us high and dry.

Before they depart, they’ll drop Croweology (due out Aug. 3), a collection of acoustic interpretations of their best stuff. The double album will be released through The Crowes’ own record label, Silver Arrow, and will be priced like a single album.

They’ll also be touring the country for nearly the entire last half of 2010, promising sets “over three hours long,” and “split into electric and acoustic selections.” Check out dates/locations for the “Say Goodnight to Bad Boys” tour below:
