Bob Dylan, Neko Case, Weezer, Decemberists to Play Bumbershoot 2010

Bumbershoot, the West Coast’s response to summer festivals with mystifying monikers, released the lineup for its 40th annual throwdown yesterday via Bumbershoot.org.

Some of the Mainstage bigwigs include Bob Dylan, Neko Case and The Decemberists on opening night Saturday, while Weezer, Hole, and Rise Against headline Sunday. Monday features one “very special guest to be announced soon” sandwiched between Mary J. Blige and J. Cole. (There’s been some speculation as to who it’ll be, but our fingers are crossed for an appearance from Jay-Z because, well, anything he and Blige do together is epic.)

In addition to the fest’s features of comedy, performing arts and film, the six other music stages will feature artists like LMFAO, Jamie Lidell, Ra Ra Riot, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, Billy Bragg, Justin Townes Earle, Japandroids and Jay Electronica, to name only a small handful of the scores of slated artists.

According to the website, this year’s Bumbershoot, which takes place through three nights in early September, features “something for everyone, across every generation of music fan.” Don’t believe it? Check out the lineup in its entirety.
