Bobby Bare Jr. To Release First Album in Four Years

Bobby Bare Jr. To Release First Album in Four Years

You know when an album’s opening track is titled “Your Goat Is On Fire,” it’s going to be awesome.

What makes that prospect even more awesome is that the album is from veteran Nashville rocker Bobby Bare Jr., who will be releasing his sixth album—his first album in nearly four years—this summer.

Bare and David Vandervelde co-produced the album, titled A Storm- A Tree- My Mother’s Head. Special Guest Stars on the album include Tom Blankenship, Carl Broemel and Patrick Hallahan from My Morning Jacket and Bare’s musician father, Bobby Bare Sr., who co-wrote a few songs on the album.

A Storm- A Tree- My Mother’s Head will be available August 31. Aside from this album, Bare has been plenty busy with other projects, including producing the Shel Silverstein tribute album, Twistable, Turnable Man. Documentary filmmaker William Miller (Time Bomb) is working on a film following Bare through the release of his latest work. You can find out more about the documentary project here.
