Glee Gets Novel

Glee Gets Novel

A pre-emptive third season deal. National tours. A ratings-breaking, prime-time television rivalry with Lost. Arguably one of the funniest cheerleading coaches ever to exist. A slew of CDs already available. What else does the Glee franchise need? Oh, that’s right: some books.

Entertainment Weekly reports that Twentieth Century Fox and publisher Little, Brown Books for Young Readers have struck a deal to release a line of Glee books. The first, called Glee: The Beginning, is set to be released in August with the premiere of the show’s second season. No plot details have been released, but maybe it’ll chronicle the crew’s years as middle-school misfits. Or not.
