Interpol Re-Signs to Matador, Announces Album Release Date

In addition to recruiting two new members, Interpol has gone back to its roots and re-signed with Matador. The band’s debut, Turn on the Bright Lights, as well as sophomore effort, Antics, were released by the New York City label, which will now also handle the band’s forthcoming self-titled effort.

The NYC rock collective’s new record, bassist Carlos D’s last effort with the band, is scheduled to drop Sept. 14. Download the album’s first single, “Lights,” here, and read what drummer Sam Fogarino told us about the album back in November here.
