Kathryn Bigelow's HBO Series Starts Getting a Cast

Kathryn Bigelow and John Logan have been on board to direct and write, respectively, the pilot for the upcoming HBO series The Miraculous Year, for a while. Finally, it looks like there might be a team of actors to join them.

Fittingly, HBO is in talks with some big-stage stars for the Broadway-themed show. Eddie Redmayne, who took the title of Best Lead Actor at this year’s Tony Awards for his work in Logan’s Red, may take a role. Broadway vets and Tony winners Norbert Leo Butz and Patti LuPone could take on roles as well. Butz would play lead Terry Segal, a composer/lyricist, and LuPone would play a stage diva.

Other likely actors for The Miraculous Year include Frank Langella and Hope Davis, in what would be her third HBO project this year.
