Since we first caught wind of it, we’ve been speculating and waiting and wondering just what Big Boi’s long-in-the-works album, Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty, would be like. The wait is over: Mr. Left Foot himself is currently hosting all 15 tracks of his new record on his Myspace page.
Awhile back, Big Boi told Paste that he wanted to prevent his album from leaking, which is why he periodically dropped tracks here and there, ramping up to the point where it was streaming it in its entirety.
If you were hoping for an appearance from Big Boi’s OutKast co-founder and accomplice AndrĂ© 3000, you unfortunately won’t find it on the album due to some record label disputes. (But you can still hear what one of those tracks would have sounded like here.) Luckily, appearances from the likes of Janelle Monae, T.I., Jamie Foxx, B.o.B. and others more than make up for the lack of Dre. You can also hear the song that Yelawolf told us about that he did with the artist he says is one of his “hugest inspirations,” on a track called “You Ain’t No DJ.”
Stream it all on Big Boi’s Myspace page now.
