Relativity Media to Produce 3D Snow White Film

In the wake of Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland adaptation, yet another Disney 3D remake is now in production. Relativity Media just signed on to produce a reimagined, 3D version of the classic Brothers Grimm fable, Snow White.

Screenwriter Melisa Wallack’s film adaptation will be a “new, edgy and modernized spin on the original classic fairy tale,” according to The Wrap.

Wallack is also known for penning the screenplay, in addition to co-directing, the 2007 Toronto Film Festival favorite, Bill (now titled Meet Bill). She will be working on Snow White with producer and Bill co-director Bernie Goldmann, as well as Brett Ratner and Ryan Kavanaugh.

“This is a project we’ve aggressively pursued and believe in," Kavanaugh told The Wrap. “We love Melisa Wallack’s script and her fresh take on the classic story we all grew up on. This film will bring together fans of the original fairy tale as well as draw new audiences who enjoy incredible adventure films.”
